I did use that strategy with Comshare, Singer, LSI, and some of the Fletchers. But in every case, they have been overcompensated for by the BLY, GLX, CCR, ERICY, SHBZ (a prime example that fits the hypothetical to a "T"), AKZOY, STD and others. Plus, my horizon still hasn't come close to expiring on LSI, and I'm still of the mind that the CSRE I am holding may come back as well.

The problem is that you're using this one point in time as an all encompassing end point of his investment advice, whereas I am still years from evaluating the final tally.

I've admitted time and again that this year has been very tough on most of JD's stocks, but I'm also a realist and can see that's the case with 99% of the stocks out there. I think JD is optimistic because he can see past the shortsightedness of this temporary dip in the market, something people with investment myopia aren't capable of.

I'm glad you're still holding those stocks Ralph, and I just joined you as an owner of CD this week. I also have no problem with you disagreeing with JD on the CPPKY sale, if you check back a few hundred messages, you'll see me voice the same types of comments when he said to sell SHBZ(CEC), granted, that was with a large gain in hand. I held it, and am glad that I did.

As for JD's future advice, I'll treat it exactly the same... as advice... advice that I will check on via my own means and come to my own conclusions, just as I always have. The only danger would be in taking ANYONE'S investment advice as gospel... something I'm not prone to do now or in the future...
