I heard on NPR radio today that Nationwide Insurance just lost a very large discrimination judgement today. It sounded like they were avoiding writing policies to minorities. Although I did not hear much of what was going on, I just could not help trying to figure out why they just urgently dumped their CKFR holdings. For any sophisticated investor to tank the market for a stock, there must be a very heavy reason not related to the company. I imagine they just really needed to cash out at any cost. They paid such a huge price by tanking the stock price, I just can't imagine what caused them to do it. Great for all Checkfree stockholders who did not have heart attacks or were on vacation and did not know enough to sweat. Thanks to Pete and the board for jumping in and buying the entire load at this incredible price. Even better for all of us who went to Key Largo and just knew that there was no news that could possibly have been as bad as the price drop. We were able to suck up and buy more at this once in a lifetime fire sale price. For that I will be forever grateful to Bob Gintel and continue to hope that I will be able to repay his generosity in some way in the future. And to all of you who just keep digging and digging to find out as much as possible about the world Checkfree lives and grows in, a big thanks.
