Thought LVG's robot example was to show it's more than accounting

Over the years IBM installed many manufacturing systems which function between IBM back office accounting and non-IBM shop floor robotics , hence my comment:

>> " The IBM client's robot Y2K test exemplified that only IBM had the where-with-all to test and update factory floor operations with back and front office operations . " <<

LVG illustrated a "over-looked" Y2K problem additionally inferring IBM is a non-finger pointing , solutions company .

Suspect LVG heard it as a "sales success story" because it would be something a creative marketing rep would do to gain "account control" .

LVG's "robot example" motivation is ultimately defined in the eye of the beholder but his message of IBM having continuing opportunity from its servicing capability well beyond Y2K was clearly bullish .
