TORONTO, Sept. 4 /CNW/ - Joseph Mimran, Chairman, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Club Monaco Inc. (TSE:CMI), announced today that he
acquired 150,000 Common Shares in the capital of Club Monaco Inc. in the open
market. After giving effect to this purchase and other purchases on the open
market since Club Monaco Inc.'s initial public offering in March 1997, Mr.
Mimran owns 1,018,798 Common Shares (including Common Shares held by a company
in which trusts for the benefit of Mr. Mimran's family have a 50% interest),
representing approximately 16.7% of the 6,083,614 issued and outstanding
Common Shares. In addition, Mr. Mimran holds options to acquire 240,000 Common
Shares.
Mr. Mimran purchased the shares for investment purposes and has no
current intention to significantly increase his ownership of shares of Club
Monaco Inc.
