David, Oh, my it must have been late at night when I wrote that: >>"There will probably not be any or few watch lists the night because of subscribers but it works out fine.. Subscribers are prepared from 1-7 days in advance with our picks and yet membes of SI who might never get anything more than perhaps a watch list that is never followed up will be getting some 'stocks' calls throughout the day." Should "lists the night because" read 'lists the night before because of subscribers'. And if so what did we subscribers do? <gg><<<< What I meant was that these last 3 months I've been balancing the SI thread's posts with the Market Gems Subscribers more 'premium' services. By having 2 watch lists, one for subscribers and 4-5 extra stocks for SI it was okay, but I did not want to have it as a permanent feature. There is a lot of work that goes into both the watch list and newsletter and I would not want to 'commit' to anything additional for SI.. Some nights I will leave a list for SI and some nights I won't. The Market Gems subscriber base which is growing steadily (mostly from the thread and 2 discount brokers) so obviously I'm not going to 'lessen' the presence. I meant that by subscribers having both the newsletter and the watch list 1 day to one week before the stocks become hot 'buys' they have a bigger edge. From now on, I'm having the companies called and that gives us about a 20-25% advantage over previous earnings plays where report dates were different. I can't use the word "inaccurate, or mistaken," because these report dates are gotten from First Call, a most valuable service, but the companies themselves change their report date without reporting back to First Call. Th SI thread will still have stock calls, intraday updates, news stories, Analyses etc. because I do call stocks in time for people to get in. Also I'm getting a lot of private e-mail from both subscribes and SI posters (50 a day minimum and another 20 or so reg e-mail). It's much easier when I can answer a subscriber on a stock which we are both following the same time than someone with a stock I have not in my database. I try to have a few alternative earnings plays and have done so (CDIS and FGII) were not on the newsletter.. I just rather keep the thread dynamic while at the same time keep the newsletters and watch lists full of good plays.. It's a balancing act but its working out.
