Hi bluejeans, great links! BUT, and I hate to spoil a good joke, while it may seem shocking, the hard sell pitch is pretty much standard pattern used by people who make their living selling on commission. My mother, no lie, has been selling things on commission in boiler rooms for at least 20 years. She used to sell "investments" like "oil wells", and "art" ("Dali" prints), but when she started living with us, I put my foot down and she just sells time share vacations. From time to time she has been involved in hiring and training salepeople, too. So, I have seen, read, and heard the pitches for a long time. Believe me when I tell you that the hard sell pitches are standard, and generic, and are simply adapted depending on what you are selling, including cars, vacuum cleaners, and life insurance. It's a tough job. But I don't have any pity, empathy, or compassion for the people who do it, either.

Blue, Funny if it wasn't so sad. I liked the one about we wouldn't have called you if this wasn't important right now. That should be changed to, we need a commission today. <G>
