At last, a type of TA that might work to beat the buy and hold strategy if you care to pursue it further. I mostly take the simpler path, the 7 sequential higher highs say to hold Dell, and the dips are buy-more time. Toss in a few calls for excitement.
Neat work, IMO it has good potential for enhancing profits

<<<In the past year, DELL has hit 7 new intraday all time tops, only to pull back, consolidate/move down, and then move higher once again.>>>
Well it has been a hectic year, caused mainly IMO by the carelessness, greed, and overextension of financial institutions world-wide. Their problems paniced the whole investment field and unfairly slopped over into the techs where companies that are still doing well were dragged far down.
Now that action is being taken instead of just words( Japan banks,
IMF, Brazil) the tanking should stop except for a few companies
counting too much on Asia sales.
I would hope for maybe 3 or 4 tankings a year, instead of 7.But
the drop of up to 28% helps to tell what margin and cushion is needed to keep from losing Dell on margin calls.

<<7. September 29, 1998. $70 1/8 new intraday high. 19 days later we still wait. The stock gets as low as $40 3/4, a 42% correction off the high.>>>
^&$&*&&^ Bears stepped on the toes of a bunch of tech stocks clinging to a cliff that day, then bought them back for a song.
I got a few Dell shares for $43 that day. Same thing happened one day in 1987,when I bought some T and AIR, missed the F.
Should not happen again for a while, you have to terrify the whole community first, and the recent great tech earnings have dispelled the BS and worries. Bears will have to try a new tactic in January.
