re Dell has been gaining units faster than anyone
Thanks.
And, equally important, DELL has been making more profit consistently than any of them. Mikie said at the annual meeting "I'd rather be number one in profits than number one in units sold."
He's so right.
And so good for us.
And eventually he'll do both, be number one (at least in the U.S.) AND have the best profits.

rudedog,
Hi!!! <<It seems like the analysts have finally figured out what happened, since IDC and Dataquest actually explained the problem in this quarter's analysis. If so then it shouldn't hurt Dell's price. It's the trend that matters anyway. As long as people understand what you saw intuitively - Dell has been gaining units faster than anyone else, they couldn't actually have lost share - then Dell should be unaffected.>>

Thanks...Dell's model will continue to gain market share....I do believe Andy Swerver was correct when he asked... "Is Michael Dell Unstoppable.?." Reading Virtual Integration makes it so obvious....the relationships are so key...finding a reason why you wouldn't want to deal with Dell is the real question....as long as the quality and the service remain the focus of the company...Dell will continue to gain market share...

Best, kemble
