I think the first announcement of a CLEC/RBOC evaluating the
Avidia system will do much more for the stock price than the
stock buyback.

As far as I know - in the DSLAM business most of the deployment
has been seen by Copper Mountain and Redback (I think Concentric
networks has been deploying redback). Pacific Bell has been
using some combination of ALA but that was running into some trouble
(according to a news report).

I hope PAIR is more active in announcing progress in large
contracts, unlike last qtr when they had 0 press releases.

Monty heard the call a little differently, saying "Pairgain noted that it expects revenues from these two products lines [Avidia DSLAM and PG-Flex/Plus] to total roughly $50 million in 1999 (roughly a 50%/50% split)."

I didn't listen to the call, but just thought I'd mention this.
