The folks from Tennessee moved on GIFS in the afternoon of Monday, April 28, 1997, but the SEC didn't shut down trading of GIFS stock until Thursday of that week.

The SEC has a web page listing their trading suspensions. Trading of GIFS stock was stopped by the SEC on May 1, 1997, and GRNO trading was stopped on May 9, 1997. At the time, the SEC never missed an opportunity to tell the public that they stopped trading of both stocks. Now the SEC page does not include GIFS or GRNO on its list. Why do you suppose that is?

B.C. and the company aren't the only ones hanging on for dear life.

Mike, I don't think you will have to worry about Stark if GRNO really does rise from the dead, thus confounding its persecutors and astonishing everyone else. I suspect that the SEC will find their interests on the side of burying their actions as deeply as possible. This is an agency that hasn't any history of apologizing for or even acknowledging its mistakes and misjudgments.
