PC pricing's move to the monthly payment world, installments/leases, will make PC's much more affordable (at least from a mind set point of view) to the general public. My brother-in-law is looking to buy a PC and told me that he wants to pay no more than $100 a month. This buys some serious hardware yet eases the financial burden by not having to pony up the upfront bucks. I told him to buy a Gateway with the Banshee in it just so that he can be sure he can run all the games. He's not a gamer - just a surfer right now - and is just looking to open the box and go. Gateway has been running a lot of adds on TV about kids and school and what not. Parents will buy the middle of the road machines - which will include the Banshee. Sounding like TDFX has a winner here and their emphasis on service should take them over the top. Could this be the bottom? Joe C.
