Hey MrB, how'ya be? Thanx for the article. I liked the end part that said:
So six months later 3Com's cross-platform database system is managing
3Com's intranet, automating workflow, creating and sharing documents,
data sheets, product guides, and catalogs, and doing everything except the
dishes. Their unofficial ROI? A neck-snapping 129%. "To do the same
volume of work we would have had to triple or quadruple or staff," Peters
said, "And we didn't have the money for that. What we did have the money
for was fortunately the best system for us."

Any company that can save COMS a buck is a friend of mine.<g> Used to live
in Cupertino, Scully almost killed AAPL. They grew too fast. I'm sure
that at one point AAPL didn't know where all their sales offices were
and the new employees didn't know the way to the bathroom. Steve Jobs
has done a nice piece of work resurrecting AAPL from the dead. Currently
I am enjoying my new iMac (best selling computer in the world, right
now) and have only two bones to pick with it. The round mouse I will
replace. The **** ROK flex/V.90 internal modem only gets me 31K connected
to my Florida V.90 ISP. I sure wish AAPL/COMS had made a deal on the
56K modems for the iMac.

Hope you are not suffering too much in this year's market downturn and
remember the Y2K rule: There is a Leap day in any year evenly devisable
by 4, unless it is evenly devisable by 100, unless it is evenly devisable
by 400.
