Currently the income will be generated from advertising revenues (from the banners seen on sides of pages--not the agencies themselves) and 'sponsorship'. I'm not sure what sponsorship refers to, unless it is related to their relationship with their partner.

I see this as an approach to build market share through offering a useful Web-site. This is how most ventures on the Web work. The idea is to attract large numbers of users by offering a useful service for free. In time hopefully the service grows enough to create a type of 'brand name' presence, at which time it will have become an invaluable tool for the members, and the members will then be willing to pay something for the service. Thousands of paying users can add up to significant amounts of money.

I liked one of the last paragraphs which described their vision for the future, which would include audio, video, radio, and television advertisements--a much broader media/advertising tool in the future. The big question is what the response from the advertising community is going to be. If it is positive, this has some exciting possibilities, and the advertising revenue for the present is more assured. Ted
