My thoughts on the announcement...

I think that SyQuest probably has some suitors, but the suitors aren't willing to pay anywhere near current market valuations. SyQuest management realizes that the only way they can sell the company will be to get the stock price down further and sell for slightly over the then-reduced market value. That's why I believe they issued the press release.

Remember... It will be the preferred shareholders and management who benefit. The common shareholder will be lucky to get 25 or 50 cents per share, IMHO.

Anybody know who Taylor Stuart is?  Can we find out some of their recent initiations, upgrades and downgrades? Might help gauge the color of their shorts here...
