Let's say you picked up $1000 worth of Dell in '89 @$.125 (split adjusted per share.

You know that at some point you realized a $50,000 profit.

And you sold it. Figured you'd topped out. $50,000 is an unbelievable profit for a measly $1000 investment. Pretty smart, huh?

IF you'd held, today you've got about half a million.

Now THAT'S smart.
