Glenn, I think your problem is that you know TOO much about Amazon. You have to think like the average retail investor who gets NO information other than a phone call from their broker (who needs to unload some shares) telling them what a great success Amazon is. :)

Little things like earnings restatements make no sense to the average investor- but buying a stock that has been up for 12 days in a row make a lot of sense! It's called "herd mentality."

Watching the action in the net stocks in general today, I think we are entering a prolonged mania stage. Retail investors are jumping all over anything internet related. Ebay is up 12 points as we speak!

Amazon up another 5 points.

All in the first 5 minutes of trading today!

Although I think the trading today in EBAY is due to margin calls this morning for anyone who was unlucky enough to be short.

*update* Ebay up 14 ! Short covering like we havent seen in months!
