The recent behavior and volatility of the stock market has been rough on many bulls and bears. For me, the drop and the subsequent rise are just confirmations of the irrationality of the market. It shows me that nobody has a clue as to the proper valuations for stocks. The divergences are scary. Some stocks look cheap, other are off the charts up. I have chosen to sit back in cash and use a small portion of my capital to trade some of the volatility. I will have a hard time making major commitments on the long side until I see major despair and most stocks are washed out. WS
