Dick, you still using it? I thought you quit months ago, and found PC Quote that you loved. Did you quit OCQ and come back? I can understand why, if that's the case.

Hi Dick,

I'm not sure what the MACD is displaying, and how to set it up to your specs. When I tried the MACD on another service, it shows the 2 lines that the MACD is supposed to show. I've sent an e-mail to Kanisa about this, and have asked them to explain their format. I will respond to you as soon as I hear something.

Paul

Dick,

You must add both the Exponential Moving Average Difference and MACD from the Add Indicator button. The values to use are the Exponential Percentage not number of days as in many other charting programs.

Calculate the value by dividing 2 by the number of days + 1.

You wanted a MACD 6,19,9 - the values are .2857, .1000 .2000

Enter the first 2 for EMA Difference and all three for MACD.

I use this daily with a 13,34,13 on both a 5 min and tick chart for very short term trend indications. The tick chart is confirmation of signals from the 5 min chart.

Good luck,

Bob
