Wendys Response to my following questions

I have following Questions as an investor in GMGC
1> Is GMGC a Partner in V-Commerce Alliance? If not Why Not? We have Agent technology and we are using Nuance
For a product that is Commercially available…
2> What is the Future of Portico? Will Portico support V-Commerce? If so When?
3> What is the Update on Telcos? Why do we not hear about Progress/Feedback from Telcos?
4> General magic attended so many shows in recent days but not a single press release from GM regarding Updates
Why? Can you Update me with News/Feedback from Shows??
5> Have the total number of resellers increased from the List Originally Supplied with the news release?
If so, why No Press Releases????

Here's a quote from CEO Markman

“General Magic envisions a world in which people on the move are never out of touch with the information they need to be successful. “

I Hope, You Understand my concerns and Reply at your earliest..

Thanks

Her Response..........................................

Dear Investor:

Thank you for your recent message. General Magic is a member of the new "V-Commerce Alliance", and we will continue to work on various strategic partnerships to further the magicTalk platform and the Company. The exact terms and goals of the V-Commerce Alliance have not been finalized, but we will publicize our involvement with this alliance when we have a specific strategy.
We currently have 11 telecommunication carriers in trials of the Portico service. We remain on target to make an announcement regarding the carrier(s) late in 1998/early in 1999.
We have attended several trade shows over the past month, and have a few more in coming weeks. The response at these shows has been positive, and we have been featured on several news shows in conjunction with our participation in the shows.
We have increased the number of resellers since the initial announcement in July. Currently Portico is being sold at approximately 300 locations across the country.
We know our investors are anxious for news about how the Portico service is doing, and our November 11th announcement of the 3rd quarter results should update you on several of the items you mentioned.
Until then, I hope this message helps to fill you in. Thanks again for your investment in General Magic.

Very truly yours,

Wendy Carhart

Snippet from my earlier post "announcement regarding the carrier(s) late in 1998/early in 1999."
This is as per wendy from GMGC which is different from their earlier tune which only said early in 1999.

So, i guess we might hear about telco before year end...

Rick...I'm not saying you wrong. But, just because IR say there is no news to report...does not mean there is "no news". A reputable IR Department would never discuss a pending news release with an Investor over the phone. IR discussion's are usually limited to information that has already been made public. To do otherwise, is to selectively release information and could lead to potential legal ramifications for the Company.
