It's a weasly little tender offer. These are basically thieves looking to steal from folks who unfortunately aren't paying attention....

They offered to buy mmg preferred at about $16 and common at about $2 for 2% of the outstanding amounts...what happens next is that brokerage firms as they must, post the tender offer to holders of the stocks,, usually the reorg dept. handles...what happens next is holders must reply to either accept or decline the offer...anybody paying attention will reject it since the offer for the preferred is $10 less than current market prices...what these scumbags are hoping for is the the handful of holders who don't investigate, but just tender the stock
