Jordex to Begin San Javier Drilling - Bolivia

October 27, 1998

Vancouver-based Jordex Resources Inc. will conduct a 1km diamond drill
program to test a gold anomaly at its San Javier concession in Bolivia's
eastern Santa Cruz Department, the company said in a statement.

The drill hole will be placed some 3km north of the Central anomaly
discovered by the company during a 1997 drilling campaign, where a three
high-grade intercepts over a 400m strike length were intercepted,
including a 5m interval bearing 273.7g/t gold.

Geochemical analysis identified the West anomaly, which is the target of
the new drill campaign.

Jordex controls 129,000ha over six properties in Bolivia, and retains a
1% interest in Anglo American's (formerly Minorco) US$450mn Loma del
Niquel nickel project in Venezuela.
