Roger;

I'm trying to make a decision too. I don't know with this specialist at what point I might sell. You see, I own 4800 shares at 38 and if I sell I take a whopping loss. If I sell and go short and the stock goes down I may recover some of that loss. My best guess is I would wait to see a big pick up in volume with the price rising and by the end of the day a big loss. Then I know the specialist is turning his position around. Right now he seems to be accumulating shorts. My wild guess is that if we don't go much higher and he remains true to form we can expect a 10 pt. decline to about 14. That seems to be the absolute bottom on my long term chart too but I want to emphasize that I'm still unsure. At least, we have an early warning. If you want to play safe get out real soon and wait to see what happens. One thing I am pretty sure of, we're not into the 30's in the near future.

Roger;

Checking the 1 day candlestick chart at 5 minute intervals I see that another big block trade of about 130,000 shares took place just after 12 PM. It registered as positive volume and the price rose slightly. After that volume was negative. This in keeping with specialist shorting as the NYSE rules require that specialists can short only on upticks.
