I get what you are saying and did not mean to put words in your mouth (if I did). Microsoft is not clearly winning this trial, but then, neither is the Department of Justice. Just being embroiled in an action of this magnitude is enough to make investors uneasy regardless of who is winning or losing at any point. whatever happens in the short term (and by that, it might mean 5 years), in the end the stock price will rise above what it is now, and a lot, just maybe not like we have all grown accustomed to. Still a great long term investment by my thinking, and if they can successfully fight back the DOJ, even better than I think (I like looking at worst case scenarios).
