Bernard: Rather hostile are we not? Remember Loral's 'defense business' was sold to Lockheed. I dont know the current make up, but I dont think the Pentagon supplies a large percentage of revenue to the current Loral. (Any numbers?) As such, Loral is not prone to too much political retaliation.

While I would agree that the current line up of launcher choices looks suspect, if the last three had not had their software bugs spoil the party, everyone would have been singing a different toon. You dont get ahead unless you press the envelope. Perhaps Bernie has pressed and has won on enough occasions that he has raised his threshold too far. That hardly places him into the 'reckless' camp. Say what you want about the man and his business associations, but dont be so shocked. You may not like it as business as usual, but it is nothing new: Teapot Dome, Kennedy/Monroe, BB Rebosso (sp?) and on and on.

I would offer that in this age of so much information contesting for our time and attention, the suppliers are more prone to scream, yell and embellish to get 'their' stories noticed.

Vote with your money - one way or the other. For me, I am still voting: YES.
