Alcatel is a major provider if telco equipment, and a DSL competitor of sorts.

Larry, stop over at the Aware web site and look at their DSL roll-out outlook. That should take only a short time...and then you'll have an understanding...maybe, to what DSL is all about and how the market may develop. DSC was a...ah enough for now.
