I have been pondering STBI

For the nine months
ended 7/98, revenues rose 52% to $211.3 million. Net income increased 6% to $7.6 million

book- 8.18
eps .99
cash per share 2.32

They had some orders camcelled, and boards returned... next qurter won t be as rosy... STILL,

If it gets down to 4 1/2 I may bite... Wayne, Larry, Sting... what do you think?

Gold and gold stocks generally don't work well with TA.

Gold is subject to sudden, drastic changes that are fueled by "external" events. Different levels of panic drive price spikes in gold. Money flow into gold and accumulation of gold can be seen as a general bearish indicator. Outflows from gold are not always an absolute bullish symbol, as investors may be reinvesting into some other safety blanket.

I'll give the cloudy crystal ball a try:

At first glance, GSR appears to be coming off a top and headed back down into the trenches. Consecutively lower price peaks indicate a retreat. OBV has died and is currently flat. MACD has crossed and is headed back down, RSI is sinking and Money Flow is leaking out fast. Price Oscillator has peaked and is working its way back down, although the consecutively higher peaks certainly look good. This stock is under some serious selling stress.

On the flip side, Stochastics are bottoming and appear to be ready to cross. Momentum has bottomed and appears to be struggling back up.

The tea leaves just aren't working on this stock. It's just too weird for normal patterns to be applied. At times, the best time to buy gold is when it appears to be the worst time.
