America Online reported a fiscal first quarter profit of $108 million or 39 cents a share Tuesday, up from $31.7 million or 13 cents a year ago. On a fully-taxed basis, AOL's profit totaled 26 cents a share, three cents above expectations. Revenues rose 65 percent to $858 million. AOL also set a 2-for-1 stock split. <<
