[pr] came thru about 1/2 hr ago on the fax... don't see this yet on yahoo.. thought someone might like the head's up..: "Industry Leaders Announce Positive Results in G.Lite ADSL Field Trial Portland, Oregan, October 28, 1998 -- Early results form a field trial of a new consumer version of Asymetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) confirm the performance of G.Lite technology, the four companies conducting the trial announced today. Intel Corporation, GTE, Fujitsu Network Communications and Orckit Communications are conducting the trial in the greater Portland area The trial uses Orckit's prototype version of G.lite equipment for high-speed broadband Internet access. The tests began in September and currently include 20 homes in Hillsboro, Oregan ..". ... not big, but nice list of companies..
