I forgot to post this the other day. One of the other benefits that the Carriers offer to GMGC is greater sales of the service through a lower pricing schedule to the customer.

In addition to added services the Carriers could bundle with the basic Portico package in order to differentiate their offering, it was discussed a while ago that the Carriers might absorb some of the costs of Portico for their customers .They would simultaneously, at least the theory goes, be recognizing increased cellular usage due to Portico being used on their system. Therefore, they would give back some of this double profit as an incentive.

In order to accelerate sales, and thus increase usage more quickly, they would supplement the cost to the customer. Of course, their (and our) hope would be that this lower price would be impactful.

I imagine the negotiations are ongoing regarding these issues. Dr. Markman was in a convenient location to meet with a couple of significant Carriers at both the New York and Atlanta tradeshows. It sure will be interesting to see what happens over the next two weeks. Let us hope for the best.
