Thanks for the interesting article. It was just a couple of weeks ago that all the experts were saying that the world is awash in oil and that it would be months if not years before we could anticipate higher oil prices. It's unbelievable that there are the kind of shortages that would cause wars over dwindling supplies next year. I would think that countries might start wars for control of oil pricing rather than because of dwindling supplies. Oil producing countries are dying to increase production to get back on the revenue path that all their budgets are planned for, and they have the oil to do it. They would like the price to go up so that they wouldn't have to increase production, but they are also willing to increase production to get the necessary revenue.

While I agree with the experts in the article about the long term outlook, I don't think that dwindling supplies is the problem near term. Just my opinion.

I was told a rumour this afternoon that there may be a coup attempt either tommorrow or the next day here in Venezuela. I don't want to start anything big since most rumours are just rumours, but if it did happen I want to be the guy who informed you first. Elections are soon so things are starting to brew here. Please don't too excited over this, it probably won't happen.

Now on the oil front. Apparently PDVSA is not issuing any or many drilling permits. Money is a problem, so many of our oil driller/service companies are struggling with work here.
