Friend of mine said his parents were cheated in a business deal when he was very young. In his prayers every night he used to include a plea to punish the guilty party. God, in his wisdom, overlooked this plea and the criminal lived to a sprightly old age, dying suddenly at the age of 90. Friend says it was frustrating at the time but he shudders to think of the guilt he would have felt had his prayers been answered. Nonetheless we can all pray that the criminal justice system works.
