Michelle, You've used self disclosing examples, to make your position clear on many of the issues on this board. That is your right. When people with an opposing view criticize the issue it often includes reference to you as an example. You get angry and reprimand them for having attacked you personally. Sometimes you counter it with a personal remark. I understand, it would hurt my feelings too. It's fairly common for people on this thread to get personal if they don't like somebody else's opinion on a political issues. When the issue and personal information are interwoven things can and do get carried away.

The point is, who people are or what they do, shouldn't make any difference to the issues on this board, unless they choose to use their own experiences or examples to contribute to the argument.

The fact that you chose not to remain anonymous, doesn't mean everyone else should follow suit. You have to admit, it does occassionally distract from the other issues being discussed.

I am known by those initials, as "JL", a rather quaint southern tradition. It comes about as a result of having siblings with similar names and elders with the same name, etc. I realize that would probably be hard for you to understand given your limited intellect. I bet there's a lot you don't recall about my posts and a lot of others on this thread. Your reading comprehension skills stink. I never mentioned the size of my "portfolio" although I have bragged frequently about my wife and my family. That's the difference between you and me. I don't put the almighty dollar at the top of my list of priorities. I don't feel a need to brag about money or success because I realize those things are temporal and in the long run, not really so important in the scheme of things. I've enjoyed a fair amount of professional success and I've managed to have a decent married life and relationship with my children. I put principle before $$$, Michelle. That's a major difference between you and I and I suspect that's why I am so much happier than you. JLA
