(Monday after golf) Hey SEBL rep. About that meeting you asked for to clarify some info in the RFP. Before we get into that I have a question for you. Oracle just offered me their new SFA software on an alpha test basis. Said if I will help shake out the bugs a bit, they'll give me some $$$ off the top. Do you guys do stuff like that? You know pilots and joint development stuff? Soon as I get back from Open World, where they put me up at the Mark, I'll have time to meet with you again and we can answer your questions about our RFP. I'll be back a week from Monday night. Spending the weekend following Open World in Napa. They have a great corporate B&B that they were able to get me into. Oracle never ceases to amaze me. Not Tuesday though. The SAP rep wants me to travel to Chicago for an executive briefing on R/4's SFA stuff. He got me into an exclusive presentation for some of the big financial firms there. Never been in a Lear jet. Really looking forward to it. The CIO from 3M and I are going. He says they are thinking of waiting for SAP's SFA stuff since they did SAP last year. Want to find out more about his thoughts on this. Oh, and Wednesday I am at a full day briefing on the new release of Peoplesoft HR. We are really excited about their Tuxedo product. We've had such performance problems in the field offices with their current release. They claim their SFA stuff with Tuxedo under it will even work on a sales rep's laptop from the car. We'll I'm a little skeptical, but they are flying their senior SFA Product Line Manager out to do the demo, so I guess I'll spend the hour. Thursday is busy all day with the Y2K compliance office. I am so sick of these meetings. They are every week now, almost. Friday morning I have meetings to cover 1999 budgets. That is why I have been so derelict in getting back to you. We had to rework them substantially, again, and I will be out next week. So how about two weeks from this Friday at 2 pm? We should be able to cover your questions in an hour or so right? Do I need to have anyone else there? I am anxious to keep the ball rolling on this. (welcome to the sales cycle from hell!!!) and it is happening everywhere in the enterprise software section, not just here... ttf
