What you are missing is late August when it was in the 110 to 113
range. Maybe you were on vacation. Art Slott didnt miss it advising
us in post #3783 that we had just experienced a 20% correction. Need
to keep on top of the facts and a little less hype.<<<

I "missed" 2 entire days when IBM had a sharp, short dip. However, it never showed a loss on the year even interday. IBM out performed the DJIA from mid July until present. Using the spike high that occurred a week after the bear began, you are technically correct that IBM "corrected" the same amount as the DJIA. I stick with my initial statement that started this exchange that "IBM held up well during the bear market". This is not hype. Hype might be focusing on the difference between two sharp, brief spikes, one up and one down.

Let's both admit the other's sincerity and good intentions. Sorry if I got carried away. Good luck with your investing. Scott
