Futurelink (customer) and Axion Communications (customer) are both penny stocks companies.

Now, I don't have to be concerned about whether or not one company is legitimate. I have to be concerned about whether or not three companies are legitimate.

Is Ron Matthews (who happens to work at Yorkton Securities) the customer or is Yorkton Securities, Inc. the customer?

RE: Patent Pending

Yes the body of the text did state that the application was accepted, but...

As far as the advantages of 'patent pending' status:

A patent application is not a public document while a patent is being prosecuted. No one has the right to know what the patent application discloses or what invention that applicant is claiming is the invention.

Someone who sees something that is marked 'patent pending' copies it at their own risk. They can only guess at what a patent that MIGHT be issued might protect. If they guess wrong and they infringe the claims of the patent (when and if it issues), they may have tossed a lot of money down the drain developing and bringing their product to market only to find out that it infringes a patent.

There is also the possibility that an applicant can have the patent application examination 'expedited' by the US Patent and Trademark Office if someone is potentially infringing what the applicant feels are potentially valid claims.

So what does this mean to JAWZ? That while their patent application is pending, others are going to have to guess at what exactly JAWZ 'thinks' is patentable about their algorithm AND what they think might end up to be valid claims if a patent issues.

Will is stop others? Who knows. Is patent law convoluted and complicated? You better believe it! Which is why I'd rather be (and am) fishing.
