Western Pacific Gold Confidentiality Agreements Signed With Three International Mining Companies EDMONTON, ALBERTA--The President of Western Pacific Gold Inc. (WPI), Mr. Nicholas Mather, is pleased to announce that three major international mining companies have signed Confidentiality Agreements with WPI's wholly owned subsidiaries. WPI management has scheduled exploratory visits with representatives from each company with the emphasis being on WPI's Mbetilonga SPL 191 Hambusimaloso project on Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. Recently announced trench results at Mbetilonga returned an intersection of 50m @ 2.45 percent copper with the intersection open at both ends. In the local 2km2 area being explored samples returned above 0.1 percent copper in soils. WPI management believes that this area may represent a heavily leached surface cap that lies above a mineralized porphyry system and the recent trenches may have intersected the mineralization below the leached surface. In addition to previously announced information, molybdenum values in the trenches, ranging up to 340ppm .034 percent averaging support the existence of a porphyry at depth. WPI's field staff has completed trench sampling on an additional 100m which will extend the sampled intersection to 150m. The sampling was extended by 50m on each side of the original trench sampled. Results from the sampling should be received within two weeks. This announcement has been prepared by, the President of WPI, Mr. Nicholas Mather BSc Hons Geology (University of Queensland), a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy with 18 years experience in the exploration industry and in exploration company management. On behalf of the Board of Directors, (signed) ''Nicholas Mather'' Nicholas Mather, President
