This thread is getting weird. We still have some way to go to reach the Qcom level but I appreciate the effort. Yeah, gizahd, I'm staying for two weeks and so far I like it a lot. Vodka is 70% cheaper than in Finland and there's female mudwrestling on hotel tv. God bless this country. I'm now in Philadelphia and heading for New York next week -these American labs are rolling in dough, it's great to see how much can be done when expenses are not a limit.

Interesting how little the Nokia infrastructure breakthrough influnced the stock price. This is a little like November -97... Nokia announced their new 61xx phone models with 5 ounce weight, eight days of standby time and great new displays. The stock price immediately plummeted. Nokia somehow is so low-key and cautious in its product launches that they never seem to have an immediate effect on Wall Street. Nokia's network sales have been growing twice as fast as Ericsson's for the five last quarters... at the very least I would expect that this new GSM infra tech will sustain that 40% growth and market share gains throughout -99 and -00. It remains to be seen whether it is something so revolutionary that it will vault Nokia ahead of Ericsson in the overall network biz. Well, the gap is closing every month.
