Cobalt, While I won't compare IBM with tulip bulbs, let me hear you justify AMZN. -g- We do have our own pockets of insanity as in yore.

The structural changes I was referring to were a simple comparability issue on PEs and such, lined up side by side. I noted one, another is health insurance (among other employee benefits). That one came about in WWII when employers were stealing employees from each other with higher cash salary and the govt finally imposed wage controls in an effort to stop it, they thought. Of course employers thought up a new scheme and that is why your current day employer likely pays your health insurance.
