Lisa - Would those Calls have had a better chance this week or say the week of Earnings then they did last week? I'm finally in the money with my jan 70s. It just took 2 weeks to do it, bought 50 of them the day after we had that 250 pt back to back drop in the DOW three weeks back. I thought I found the bottom then (duh)!

Theoretically in the last two months of the options' life, the premium drops quickly regardless of the volatility. Even though the options equations are incorrect to certain extent, they still will give you some guidelines to follow. Buying options is buying chances where you should feel okay if you lose all your bets. Buy the right amounts, long-term, high strike prices and hold it to the end. You may have a better chance to win.
