Larry
well this option trader is been on SI for over a year and traded options that entire time...so my shelf life is longer than 6 months

but I also had a very expensive education in the beginning
(and still do sometimes)

and why I urge caution in the "gravy train Dell option ride"

Larry - Now you know two! I've played Options, seriously, for the last three years. And I've (no brag) made a pant load of money! I also lost some (-10 Grand on pre-split Walgreen WAG last October, and a bunch of smaller ones too numerous to remember) However; if you follow a good company (fundamentals) one part luck one part good timing and consistency make for success in Options (on the average).
Win 4, lose 2, etc.

Now I almost gave up after my first loss, it scared the hell out of me. And, at the time,I was only playing with 2 to 12 Grand!

Now I play with 18 to 30 Grand on my plays and I'm not as scared as I used to be. I mentally except from the start that I have lost all the money. Any thing else is gravey!

No, I don't recommend it for most investors and if some one does get into the game they should take an 80% to 90% position long in the market and play with only 10% to 20%. And never go margin unless you have a butt load of long position stability!

I have doubled my Dell returns from my long position this year and last.

Yes it might have been luck so far but, I'll take it!

Cheers
