The drop in consumer confidence index to 22 month low was a more significant reason for the selling today than Brazil rumor imo. This may just be a temporary ST pullback, how temporary is the real question and what kind of news is going to come out?

The markets have been strong since rate cut, I think market is pricing in next expected rate cut in Nov.

S&P globex down slightly

Fuz,

>>I think this was a good excuse for many to sell.<<

Probably. We'll now have to see how much profit selling
is involved.

I was surprised at the intensity of it today for
2 reasons:

1) Just had friday profit taking and it was very tame

2) Today's market started out very strong.

I think that the rumor really shook up some investors (when
it shouldn't have), and afterwords everybody realized that
the market has had a good run, so better take profits
now and wait for another day to make sure the world's not
falling apart.

If you'll notice, there are now some other negative rumors,
one being about China devalueing or banks failure....total
BS. But, if the big guns want the market down, that's the
way it goes. COMS is a solid stock so it will find it's
way up again when market consolidates...when this is, who
knows...maybe first thing tomorrow morning, I'd like to see.
