Mad2, The original trainers for the pipeline training that was supposed to be federally required were interactive from a training site to a central point with the central point going over a course with tests and training sessions to cover and certify a worker sa trained. This can still be similar with the graphic portion on CD to save bandwidth and the supervisory/fresh instructional part via the web.
An interesting thing was the fact that Gary's software could identify a person by his keyboard pace(like the "fist" in old time wire telegraphy) so exam cheaters could be detected. This will still work as long as a time between keystrokes data set is sent via the web. The old way was direct connect over phone lines with modems and so the timing data was there. Normal web packetisation would discard this unless provision was made.
Someone has patented this but gary was usibg it in 1990 and so could blow that patent out of the water right quick.
