Joe: What do you make of the movement tomorrow? I have this heck with it mentality after so many times of gyration, and thus bought some January 35 puts. I feel strongly that there is no reason for a breakout right now. Also, a breakout without a follow through usually is a false one, let alone that breakouts happening at 90% stochastic would require a big surprise to do it. Besides, you have 35, 38 overshadowing the whole situation. You have these people who bought in at 38 and 35 tops earlier this year waiting to dump when they see such prices again. We might as well go fishing or golfing now (where is Mang, by the way?) while this dog is out for a walk.

Another thing. I'll bet we've lost plenty more weak hands. COMS is driving folks crazy, and its hard to stay with it unless you really have patience.>

Tomorrow, I'm going to be one of those weak hands. Following Wayne's advice I sold a few shares at 35 today but unfortunately I didn't have the guts to dump the whole position.

From a candlesticks standpoint(I'm a believer) we had today a "bearish engulfing pattern." Very bearish despite the fact that many other tech stocks were also up early only to close below yesterdays lows.

Remember people: we're in a bear market and those critters don't just disappear this fast. We all have to get tough if we're going to ride this out.

Long term, of course, I'm very bullish on COM$ and believe - to use Eric B's words - that COM$ is going to "kick some butt" this quarter. IMO COM$ will outperform the NAZ and may not drop below 30. But I'll buy back in when the stock starts to go back up.

OT: Selected small caps may be a good place to park your money. Many are almost totally washed out, are trading at or below book value and are starting to move up. I think they will outperform through Jan99. Stay away from the old standbys: CSCO, DELL and even LU
