ahhaha,,,,,,the pie will get bigger ATHM will get a bigger piece of the pie and customers will continue to get increased services and more value from ATHM.

IMO AOL will not be the leader in 2-3 years.

From your post #1954:

<<I believe AOL will respond, but will do so in a non-confrontational way.>>

While the jury is still out, early returns would seem to indicate otherwise. You don't think Kennard and Ness came up with those questions on their own do you?

<<The MSO's don't have any excluding deal with ATHM even if they own a good chunk of equity>>

From ATHM's 10-K:

"Although the Company's Principal U.S. Cable Partners are subject to certain exclusivity obligations that prohibit them from obtaining high-speed (greater than 128 Kbps) residential consumer Internet services from any source other than the Company (the "Exclusivity Obligations"), such Principal U.S. Cable Partners are under no affirmative obligation to carry any of the Company's services. Such Exclusivity Obligations of the Principal U.S. Cable Partners expire on June 4, 2002, and may be terminated sooner under certain circumstances."

I am aware that certain services are excluded from the exclusivity (thankfully, since the exclusions are ATHM's trump card in avoiding over-reaching regulation), but I do not believe those exclusions cover the areas we're talking about.
