scrapps,

I don't think TI requires the Aware technology for G.heavy. AMTX had the patents required for standard category II G.heavy, not Aware. The question remains, will TI need to license G.Lite from Aware?

You remember the battle between 3COM/Rockwell/Lucent for the 56k standard. There was a battle because the standard involved big $$$$ to the patent holders. The G.Lite standard was settled without a big fight? How much money is involved and what did Aware promise to get their patents part of the standard? Are Aware's patents part of the G.Lite standard?... until later.
