It appears Dia Met and BHP collect approximately 1 carat per ton (they handle 9,000 tons of kimberlite per day and retrieve 10,000 carats a day). Apparently, that mother lode is 1 km wide and about 300 meters deep. I'm trying to get a handle on Winspear. They've cut across 9 or 10 ft. of rich kimberlite stringer in different areas ?? that's added up to a considerable amount of diamondiferous kimberlite but haven't yet hit upon any mother lode, but from what I can understand stringers normally lead to a mother lode. I'm hearing their potential for kimberlite tonnage maybe awesome. It's great to see a junior like Winspear hold down such a large slice of this diamond pie, in this case Snap Lake.
