Jason - you're completely off base with Barrick and Bre-X - forgetting that they would have done their dd, just like Freeport, had they got the deal. The assays were done by Kilborne - who have done extensive work for Barrick on all their projects - so they had reason to put some faith in the results. Well, Kilborne were hoodwinked by Bre-X.

Barrick, far from being burnt by the Bre-X experience have deals with many juniors in the works. It is through deals with juniors that majors get into major ore bodies - and we hope this is one of them. The other route is through acquisitions eg. the take over of Lac by Barrick.

So if Barrick walk from this deal you should pay careful attention - they are not he worlds most profitable gold mine for nothing. If you're offended by my addressing you (or was it someone else?) as 'dear boy' I'm sorry - it was my knee-jerk reaction to crass ignorance. If you're just a day trader - long or short - OK - but if you want to make some real money on a situation like this you should learn how the exploration/development game works. There is always dilution when a junior comes up with a discovery - because hundreds of millions of $$ are needed to bring a large mine into production. Let's get on with the game. E
