nihil,

You obviously have really studied the info on my site....

One point that I need to clarify - I do limit my analyses to a 25% or less growth rate when I am analyzing a small-cap. However, I used historical growth rates and analyst consensus projections when I assessed the "four horseman". Specifically, the DELL analysis is based on an annual earnings growth rate of 30.2%, which is the consensus analyst projection for the next 5 years.

Another point - I am not ignoring "the dominant position of these companies". This market dominance should be reflected in their historical growth rates and in the consensus analyst projections for the future.

Likewise, I have made no attempt "To demonstrate that these four firms will fall behind in EPS on an absolute basis"; instead I have relied on the consensus earnings projections of the analysts who follow these Companies.

nihil,
>>Anyone who thinks that PC's and Servers. x86 mpu's, PC software,
and backbone networking are going to grow slowly are simply wrong. To demonstrate that these four firms will fall behind in EPS on an absolute basis, will have to explain who is going to take over the markets.<<

I am simply wrong, but, I think that not only will PC growth slow but it will reverse severely in the following years. It not "who" in this case but what.
The days of the traditional do everything PC are numbered. There's just too many specialty products ready to be intro'd soon.
