David, I am glad you people don't have a clue of the train that is going to hit.

You obviously haven't been following my posts so I'll summarize what I've been saying. The US market is extremely overvalued especially tech stocks like DELL et al. The market should be expected to go to 5000-6000 on the Dow if FA ever means anything. In the meantime the TA trend seems to be up. So why shouldn't I make some money on the way up. I was short overall up to 10 Oct or thereabouts and then long. As a consequence this is my best month so far. I have plenty of cash sitting waiting to buy puts here in Australia and I'll be happy to switch to short in the US market fast when I'm convinced the trend is really changing.

However, come Jan 1 the European monetary authority can cut interest rates further. The highest danger is between now and then while the Bundesbank can't cut.
