The hot list is based on percentage and not volume. When everybody stops and then starts back up it bumps up the percentage gain in posts.

BTW anyone notice the hammer on the XAU daily chart?

I think SI's hot list algorhythm also factors in the cool quotient....
Hence we consistently place near the top.
